The Project 6GR Story
The aftermarket wheel industry has a problem. Most manufacturers design one aggressive offset, slap it on ten different cars, and call it universal fitment. The result? Wheels that poke too far, rub on lowered suspension, or barely clear factory brakes. For Mustang owners who care about how their car drives, that approach doesn’t work.
Project 6GR started with a different question: what if wheels were engineered around specific chassis geometry instead of generic bolt patterns? We focus on Ford Mustang platforms (S197, S550, S650, GT350, GT500, and Dark Horse) because understanding suspension architecture, brake packages, and common ride heights allows us to dial in fitments that actually work. You get proper clearance, the right amount of concavity, and a wheel that sits where it should without spacers or compromises.

How We Build Wheels

Flow forming technology creates a lightweight monoblock wheel by spinning a cast center under high pressure and heat. This process realigns the aluminum grain structure, reducing weight by 15-25% compared to traditional cast wheels while maintaining structural integrity.

6061-T6 aerospace grade aluminum formed under extreme pressure into monoblock or two-piece configurations. Forging creates the highest strength-to-weight ratio and allows full customization of diameter, width, and offset.
