It’s always a good night on Brand Blvd. Thank you to the City of Glendale’s Community Services and Parks Department for putting on the 31st annual Cruise Night. The show started back in 1994 to coincide with the World Cup that summer and has been a staple of downtown Glendale ever since. Somewhere between 300 and 400 cars line Brand every year, from pre-1985 classics to lowriders to modified imports, and being based right here in Glendale makes this one special for us.
Our shop is just minutes from Brand, so this is our home turf. We set up new wheel designed on display and spent the day doing what we usually do at these things, which is talking specs with people who already know what they want and helping the ones who do not know where to start.
In addition to usual Mustang builds expected at our booth, this year was a Suzuki Jimny with a Mercedes-Benz G-Class body kit, and it got exactly the type of attention you’d expect. We built a set of custom full face wheels specifically for this vehicle, featuring a classic 90s Benz look and matching floating center caps. The plate reads POKR G, which translates to little G in Armenian…which doesn’t need translation in beautiful Glendale, CA.
